A photograph taken by a friend

Doug:

A comment on the "Harassment" post reminded me of a photograph taken by a friend of mine (Thanks, Sid) on the lower Windsor Trail this spring. He and his girlfriend saw the sign while out hiking (really, it was already like that). Maybe you could post it.

Thanks,

One thing that corrupt regimes absolutely hate is when secrets leak. When the truth about the corrupt nature of a regime leaks out, it becomes impossible to continue to use fear and intimidation to shore up that regime. For this reason, am am positive that UC positively hates Doug Roberts' guts. His blog leaked the truth behind Peter G. Nanos' and UC's corrupt regime.

Blogging has introduced a new factor into the equation of balance of power. It is no longer possible to keep all the dirty little secrets hidden from public view by using the tried and true techniques of intimidation and fear of retaliation against those who would expose he truth of an operation. Nanos and UC attempted to cover up the fiasco of last July's shutdown. This blog made their attempts at cover-up impossible, because those who had access to the truth of the situation were able to eventually share it via the blog with about one and a half million people. This was possible because the blog allowed anonymous submissions, and because there were a few people who would not be intimidated.

Nanos and UC did indeed get "Blogged"; deservedly so. It is a fact that the M&O for Los Alamos will soon change, however, blogs will still be around. Thank goodness, because I think we will have a continued need for them. As Finley Peter Dunne said, "Trust everybody, but cut the cards."

Speaking of famous sayings:

The leaders who work most effectively, it seems to me, never say "I." And that's not because they have trained themselves not to say "I." They don't think "I." They think "we"; they think "team." They understand their job to be to make the team function. They accept responsibility and don't sidestep it, but "we" gets the credit…. This is what creates trust, what enables you to get the task done. -- Peter Drucker

Remember how many times in his all too-frequent "LANL-ALL" memos Nanos managed to use the word "I"?

To be honest.. how many of you people have said "I" when you should have said "we". Nanos is gone, and yet you pick at him like a sore. Hecker is gone, and people pick at him..

The only way that you are going to get 'justice' for all these problems is by giving up this bitterness and hatred and moving on. You spend so much energy hating people who only have power over you because you let them. And that energy could be spent on a lot better things like helping Todd's family build a new life, getting your projects done, and just living a happier life.
